I wanna kno if anyone has got a gain of speed and vert from using the JumpRope

if so reply what u did and about how long it took to see your results..

yo my coach makes us jump rope for like 5 minutes every day, and i can say it greatly helps both your foot speed and vert

Remember gentlemen JUMPING ROPE is mainly to help HAND-EYE COORDINATION and YOUR FOOTWORK! Helping your footspeed and vertical jump is one of the last FUNCTIONS OF JUMPING ROPE!
You can use a heavy rope.A jumprope that weighs 3/5/8 pds. That will definitely work Your footspeed. The ladder drills work great on FOOTSPEED-Your vertical Leap will improve when YOU increase YOUR UPPER BODY STRENGTH.That has a lot to do with YOUR VERTICAL JUMPING ABILITY,also work out with plyometrics.
Improvements with FOOTSPEED and VERTICAL JUMP does not happen OVERNIGHT-YOU have to commit to a continuous regime that YOU follow RELIGIOUSLY! Again-I have been a college coach for 10 years and I have seen Freshman and Sophomores in college increase in all aspects with a steady workout! You must take "THE ROAD LESS TRAVELLED"-that means work YOUR BUTTS OFF!No days off and do not take it easy. RIGHT now is AAU season-where You play tournaments every weekend and Practice once maybe twice a week with someone who REALLY isn't a QUALIFIED basketball COACH! I have witnessed PLAYERS PICK UP MORE BAD HABITS AND ATTITUDES because of AAU ball.Don't get Me wrong I love to recruit @ those tournaments but most of the TIMEI am saying to MYSELF "I can fix those bad habits". And please understand THERE is a small % of Quality AAU Coaches-FEW-But there are some out there. Now is the TIME to shoot 1000 shots 3x a week-500 free throws- Do all things that will improve YOUR GAME and play as often as YOU can. I would recommend CAMPS over AAU. The top camps are better for YOU and they are usually RUN BY A QUALITY COACHING STAFF!
