About Me:: Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are ready for a brand new exciting brand of tennis. Let me introduce you to Deja Kitchiner. Deja is an extremely talented young female tennis player. Deja grew up in rural Northern California(Redding) and began practicing tennis at age 3. At age 10 she moved to Florida and played predominantly in the girls 18's division. The road has been tough, but she has persevered, and won her last two small 18 year old events. Deja is quite the unique player as she has been coached by her father since age 3. What she lacks in traditional technique she makes up for it in athleticism, variety, and drive. She is not the type of player who will just sit there and roll shots back and forth. She slices, chips, whips, drives, rolls, charges, and even serves&volleys. All of the above is how she instinctively likes to play, in fact she probably developed this swashbuckling style out of necessity, and a lack of traditional teaching methods. Despite the unique tennis background Deja and her father have worked daily and tirelessly. The result is that Deja has found a winning style of play that fits her tennis instincts, and athleticism. Deja is quite the athlete as many of her measurables are comparable to upper-class high school boys. Deja is currently fine tuning her serve, playing a limited junior schedule, getting stronger, & gearing up 18 year old nationals/ and beyond. Deja has been documenting her tennis pursuit since she was 8. Along the way she has played against a professional, been invited to the Sony Ericsson Open to practice with a former coach of the Williams sisters, and more.
